SMO is a lipophilic (oil-loving) non-ionic surfactant. Excellent water in oil emulsifier for neutral, moderately alkaline, and acidic pH systems. Widely used emulsifier in the production of emulsion explosives and as a co-surfactant with RJ-6 (polymerized emulsifiers) in the production of packaged explosives.
